Institutional Strengthening and Professional Capacity Building
-
Strengthen understanding of institutional governance and technical capacity across wildlife rescue centres in Indonesia, including organizational structures, management systems, human resources, infrastructure, and animal care practices.
-
Assess and identify institutional and professional capacity-building needs, particularly among technical staff, and develop accessible learning, training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing opportunities to address identified gaps.
-
Strengthen the professional capacity of animal keepers and other frontline animal-care personnel through targeted training, practical learning, peer exchange, and access to relevant technical resources and expertise.
-
Promote and strengthen the participation and leadership of women in wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, by creating targeted professional development, networking, mentoring, and leadership opportunities for women working across the sector.
-
Develop a sustainable capacity-building framework for IWRA members, connecting wildlife rescue centres with qualified trainers, subject-matter experts, institutions, and learning resources to support continuous professional development.
